Gratitude for the rest of the year.

Now that the extended weekend is over, it’s time to get back to the money! This past weekend I was in the DMV area and I had such a great time. It was such a refreshing weekend for me not only because I had the opportunity to get away from the city, but also because I was surrounded by so much love.

It’s so important to surround yourself with genuine people. People who just love you for who you are, people who motivate you, and also people who you can give willingly to.

Writing this while on the bus heading back to NYC, I’m thinking of all the relationships I’ve gained, lost, and renewed in the first half of 2016. For those that I’ve lost, at that very moment, it seemed devastating; I was so hurt, sometimes even angry. However, in retrospect, I thank God not only for the end of that season, but also for the experiences I had with these people. Although they may have ended, I can’t disregard the good times we had together.

Simply getting to a place of pure gratitude for the rest of the year and cherishing the blessing of genuine friends and family. I’m so full and I’m not sure if I have any more room for more people in my life, hahaha. God has indeed made my cup to run over.

Have a blessed week!

You are very fortunate to have a circle like that.

Great look! Love the colors and… your hair!
