Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
Don’t pair gingham like this! Instead, button the shirt all the way to the top, and tuck it into a bubble skirt! (Image source: www.Forever21.com)
My blog crush gets it right ALL OF THE TIME. This works 🙂 (Image Source: www.atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com)

So we all know that most trends are resurfaced and recycled. Well, here’s a trend where we can all take particpate in! GINGHAM! I have alllwayyyyss been a fan of Gingham, specifically the Polo Ralph Lauren Men’s button down. A man in a gingham polo is a man worth admiring 😉 An example below:

Peter Pilotto for Target is absolutely worth it and here’s why:
Peter Pilotto & Christopher De Vos, the designers behind PETER PILOTTO, exemplify for me, a fusion of culture. Pilotto is Australian & Italian & De Vos is Belgian & Peruvian. These two just work perfectly! Pilotto contributes prints & patterns while De Vos contributes silhouette & style. It takes a bold, confident woman to wear PETER PILOTTO, and wear it well, might I add. My first time being exposed to the brand was at Selfridges, a high- end department store in London. My eyes were immediately attracted to an array of prints designed into beautiful clothing. I was in looveeeee….then I looked at the price tags….in POUNDS, NOT DOLLARS!!! My new found love soon turned into “Mmm cute.”
And then I saw one of my style icons wearing PETER PILOTTO:
How effortless is Solange? And trust me, it’s not because she’s natural! (Even though it compliments & adds to her style) Anyway, you know I was sold, right? That’s what the excitement is about!!! PETER PILOTTO FOR TARGET lauches Sunday, February 9th!
Here is my Target online- shopping ritual:
1.. View the PETER PILOTTO FOR TARGET lookbook in advance and decide which pieces you want to purchase. Write it dowwwnn!

6.. Go back to bed with a smile on your face, knowing you just got your P.P. pieces without leaving your room 🙂
Wool Peacoat: LAUREN by Ralph Lauren// Sweater Dress: Zara (Sold out but found on Ebay ) // Leather Pants: H&M (Similar Here) // Heels: Lanvin (New & improved style Here) // Sneakers: New Balance (Check out these Dope Colors) // Messenger Bag: Forever 21
Hi guys! So I took full advantage of my day off from work due to MLK day! I spent the whole day upstate in Ossining, NY at my photographers’ family home. I brought my fave sneakers at the moment (my New Balance “highlighters”) as a subsititue for my very comfy Lanvin heels. For some very strange reason, these sneakers go perfectly with every outfit I wear! I seriously recommend these sneakers. As a retired track athlete, with shin splints and inflammation in my calves, it’s really hard to wear flats or shoes without sole support but these extremely affordable new balances make me feel like I’m walking in thin air!
Jacket, Sweater/Jumper, and Boyfriend Jeans: H&M (Similar Jacket & Jacket on SALE, Sweater, and Jeans) // Necklace: Unknown (Gift) // Shoes: Zara (Similar at ShoeDazzle) // Bag: Forever 21 // Sunglasses: The Loft
This year, I’ll be investing in more quality, classic pieces and leaving the trendier pieces aside. My outfit above can be easily copied. As basic as it appears, I think the chunky necklace gives it a nice edge. My lovely Auntie in London actually gave this to me when I visited her. However, you may find comparisons at any local boutique. Don’t be afraid to shop discount stores (99 cent stores/ Pound Shops). While quality isn’t the greatest, some of their costume jewelry are super fun & cute!
